Migrate Kontact from FC5 to FC8?

I have a new computer with FC8 on it, installed from the KDE Live CD. I want to know the best way to migrate my Kontact data (Kmail folders, filters, addresses, emails, and calendars) from the FC5 system to the new FC8 one. I'm hoping there's a way to import everything in a simple manner...I can connect the two systems with ssh or scp. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm worried that if I just copy the .kde/share/apps/Kmail files it will get corrupted or won't work right.

Again, many thanks for any help. :-)

Additional info

Okay, at this point I've tried just about everything. The "Import" tool doesn't work -- or perhaps I'm pointing it to the wrong Kmail folder. I've tried copying the .kde/share/apps/kmail file and using that. I've tried suggestions from another forum, but they didn't work either.

Surely someone out there uses Kmail, no? Am I a dying breed?

I'm hoping to migrate all my info so that Kontact will work without my having to create new Identities again, recreate the folders, and manually insert the mail.

One other note is that my mail folder seems to have tons of numbers in it: they appear to be Unix timestamp format. Is that normal?

Again, any and all help or suggestions would be very appreciated. I'm pretty much ready to give up and start everything over from scratch, but it seems really inconvenient when this has to be a fairly common situation. Thanks very much!
