kopete does not detect connection loss

Hi,

I've noticed a pretty annoying kopete behavior (I'm using it only for ICQ). Because of some problems with my network/ISP I'm sometimes experiencing connection losses. Unfortunately kopete does not detect this and stays "online" - sometimes for 15 minutes and more after the connection was lost. Every message that I type in this time is send without problems but never arrives the recipient. Is there a way to shorten the time in which kopete checks whether a connection still exists or even a way to check if it is still connected before sending instead of just sending the message and hoping that it will arrive somewhere?
