Setup KDE 4 Kicker

Hi Gurrus,

KDE4 is amazing ...
I used the kde-devel user and built KDE4...

But how can I configure the kicker ?? Because Kcontrol seems to point to my 3.5.8 installation??

There is not much to configure yet.
Indeed, kcontrol points to KDE 3, and the new "kcontrol" in KDE 4 is called "systemsettings".

Hi, I installed all of the latest KDE4 components on Ubuntu. (Yeah I know I could have used Kubuntu, but I wasn't sure which I wanted).

Anyway whatever the new kicker is called, it's not showing up on my desktop. How do I get it to start?

Also there are loads of desktop configuration options that are missing when I right click and select 'configure desktop.'

Either it has been much (indeed over) simplified. or this hasn't been finished yet? Is this likely to be permanent?
