cloned monitor but two screens

I once setup my NVIDIA for two monitors side by side. At this time, KDE detected the setting and adjusted the Desktop configuration menu to allow me to conf each screen independently (i.e. 2 screensavers, 2 backgrounds, ...)

Finally I didn't like the dual view and I configured my NVIDIA for cloned view. But KDE didn't detect that and still offers me 2 screens to configure. My 2 backgrounds overlap, so do my screensavers. Besides that no problem.

How can I tell KDE that I only have one screen now?
Thanks

Have you tried changing your native Linux's X11 configuration (I'm pretty sure it's SaX2 but I dunno if that's the one in all distros)?

I am still having the same problem, although since then I have reinstalled everything neatly. So I'll describe again:

I am cloning my desktop to my TV. I am using a NVIDIA card, drivers installed by ENVY (Great tool!), and configuration done with the Nvidia Setting tool. Everything fine except that the slideshow screen saver always displays 2 pictures at the same time on both screen. As if the screen saver sees 2 desktop but doesn't see they are clones...
Any idea how to solve this problem? Or is it a bug?

Annex question: What's the best way of connecting the TV? Cloning works fine but, for example, I can't watch a movie on one while working on the other... I tried to have the 2 screens side by side, but then my desktop spans on both screens, which is really not cool when I maximize a window, especially when the TV is off.
Feel free to share your experience...

And a request on the slideshow screesaver: would be nice to add a blacklist. I usually display all my photos on it and it's great, except that my wife would like to blacklist some of them... Of course I could split my collection in 2 but that would be so much simpler to blacklist only a few... Hope it falls in the right hear!
