KMail Pipe Through Filter

According to the KMail documentation, I can use %0, %1, etc. to pipe the message's body/attachments through an external program, but this method does not seem to be working for me.

In my searching, I've found that most(if not all) people are using the "pipe through" filter for spam validation, so I understand the need to run the entire email through an external program, but if I ONLY want the body of the email piped through a script, how would I do that?

Nothing seems to be working for me. As a test, I wrote the output of %0, %1, and so on to a text file, and each time it shows only a temp file, presumably the entire email.

How can I pull ONLY the body to be used as input?
