What was it called, it disappeared and I want it back

  Release:  2.6.22.9-desktop-1mdv
  Machine:  x86_64

As KDE was installed (by default; I set no additional options that I know of), I had an interesting, umm, button, in the umm, toolbar.

It has disappeared, I do not know where it was or what it was called. I want to restore it without reinstalling all of KDE Network, since I wish to learn the proper administration skills, and not just reinstall packages when something goes wrong. So now you know what I'm up against for that part.

I lost or deleted something that when I clicked it, it brought up a window that showed my 2 network interfaces, I have an onboard 10/100 as eth0, and a Wireless NIC as eth1. This window MAY have been called "Network Interfaces" but since it is missing, I cannot be specific.

In that window, I was allowed to deactivate or activate the network interfaces: eth0, eth1.

I believe it was found in the KDE toolbar System Tray, but since it is missing, I'm not certain.

I have NOT uninstalled anything. I believe I merely UNINTENTONALLY deleted the applet button from the KDE toolbar. Or possibly it was revoked by some Mandriva upgrade, I'm not sure.

I am sure I can manually add the applet button, but I do not know which file to link to the applet button properties, and I do not know what (if any) options need to be presented.

Since local help files (KDE Help Center) seem to not discuss this applet, can anyone offer an answer to my problem? I believe it may be one of these:

Summary: I prefer to NOT reinstall the RPM; I do not recall the actual name of the button, nor the actual name of the window that the button produced. This applet may have been in the System Tray but I'm not certain. I know that the window allowed me to enable and disable selected network interfaces, and that feature is what I wish to have restored.

Ah. I found it!

It was titled NetApplet in K menu -> Tools -> System Tools, linked to /usr/bin/net_applet --force
