Connect to the Internet

I have just installed Kubuntu 7.10 with KDE 3.8

I am using comcast cabel internet that is plugged into an Apple AirPort wireless router and then directly into my PC.

I was wondering what steps I would need to take to get connected to the internet in KDE.

The first night of my installation after about an hour it seemed to connect to the internet automatically. The next morning however and ever since, no matter what I try it will not connect to the internet. In addition all other PCs in the house recieving internet from the router have no problem connecting, nor does the windows installation on the very same computer.

I was wondering if someone could walk me through the steps required to connect to the internet.

I have never used any Linux operating system before, this is why I am having some trouble figuring everything out.

Any help would be appriciated, Regards.
