How can I customize the "remote:/" virtual folder?

Hello. I am a PCLinuxOS user. I have noticed that, when the distro makes an update to KDE, it sometimes makes appear or disappear the icon of the "magic wand" in the "remote:/" virtual folder, that launches knetattach to add a network folder connection.
Actually, the last update made it disappear. Anybody knows how can I change this setting, so it appears again?
