[Resolved ]KDE (iBook Xorg) lost sound

Hi,

I have no sound at all while using KDE since I update KDE. No sound in Amarok neither!

I'm using KDE on my ibook ppc g4 with Xorg. I lost the sound after updating to the last version (currently kde 3.5.7-1021).

At launching kde, I always have this message :

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (No such file or directory)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Before updating to this version, this problem occurs sometimes but not always. Then reactivating the sound in the Kcontrol > sound system panel would eventualy fix the problem for the running session.

Now, even checking the "activate sound" case doesn't work.

Is there a way to fix this problem? Please help.
