KDE Taskbar disappears after startup - possible transparency issue

Hi,

I've got a problem with the taskbar. The problem may have to do with transparency because that was what I was changing previous to the problem. The problem occured only after the computer was restarted.

So, when the session starts, the bar shows up for a seconds, but slides down, as if hiding. But, I can't figure out anyway to get it back or to get into the settings menu for the taskbar. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running kubuntu with xgl+beryl.

you can reset the settings of kicker by renaming ~/.kde/share/config/kickerrc

RE: KDE Taskbar disappears after startup - possible transparency issue

As a guess, try moving your mouse pointer to the edge of the screen where Kicker (original name for the Panel) disappeared. Bet it reappears.

Right-click and choose Configure Panel... Layout, Hiding tab.
