Teaching QT and KDE programming

This coming fall, I will be teaching a class on GUI design and hope to incorporate a significant amount of material on QT and KDE programming. If any of you have any insights, resources, or materials that might be helpful for making that work, I'd greatly appreciate any help you can offer. I'm sure that some of you have either had classes (or taught classes) that used QT -- it could be very useful to know what kinds of things you found exciting and interesting in those classes.

RE: Teaching QT and KDE programming

Here is something I wrote for the other coders in my department as we transitioned away from Microsoft dependent tools.…Qt4_and_C%2B%2B

IMO, the best QT forum is

and the best IDE to write QT code is QDevelop:

On Windows I use MS VS C++ but QDevelop is an Open Source (GPL) and free, and I found it to be an excellent replacement for MS VS in Windows and the best tool for QT on Linux. it works seamlessly with QT-Designer and has a form of "code completion" for code already entered in the current projects.
