randr rotation and KDE 3.5.6

Sorry. I have moved this to the more appropriate Installation forum

randr rotate - KDE 3.5.6 not resizing

>>
Hi.

I have KDE 3.5.6 and xrandr 1.2 with x11-server13 with the 1.9.94 version x11-driver-video-intel13 driver running on my Fujitsu 1510 tablet.
KDE fires up fine, but when I rotate the screen using either the krandr applet or xrandr, the screen orientation changes okay, but KDE does not resize. So you are left with the bottom part of the screen blank and the windows going off the right hand side.
Gnome works fine, so I know my xorg setup is correct.
Is KDE randr 1.2 aware or have I got to wait for version 4?

Thanks.
