KAudioCreator - location of ripped files

KAudioCreator - location of ripped files

Background:

I decided to migrate myself away from a WINDOWED world.
As such I am trying to get my music files off my XP box and on my linux box.
Right now I have to keep my IPOD attached to my linux box and every now
and then Amarok won't let me play my smart playlists so I decided to start
re-ripping all my CDs on my linux box. I created a new partition just for
my music just to keep things neat.

Problem:

Using KAduioCreator, I cannot fathom how to tell it to place the ripped files
in the newly created partition. KAudioCreator puts the files in the KDE root.

Need help with:

Either migrating my Itunes from XP - I can mount it so I can access but it
really confuses Amarok and drives me nuts. OR telling the ripper where to put the files so I can live a happy and fruitful life.

UPDATE:

I just mounted my IPOD and copied all my music to the directory I wanted and placed that directory in the collection search path of Amarok and viola I have music without having to have my IPOD attached.

I still haven't figured out how to tell KAudioCreator to place ripped files where I want not where it wants.....

In kAudioCreator, there is an option to do that. Currently, each encoder is set to ~/%extension, which will automatically translate to your home directory. Go to Settings | Configure, then click the Encoder icon in the column on the left. Select each of the installed encoders and click the Configure button. Go to the beginning of the Encoded File Location text, and change the '~' to the mount point for your other partition. Do that for every encoder and you'll be all set.
In retrospect, everything is funny.
