KMail - IMAP with spam filter duplicate mails

Hello,

I use KMail 1.9.5 shipped with SUSE 10.2 and I have got the following problem:

I have set up the SpamAssasin filters using the KMail's Antispam wizard. They sort of work also for IMAP accounts, but... I have realized that when these antispam filters are switched on, KMail duplicates all newly incoming mails which appear in an IMAP folder. This leads to exponential grow of emails in that folder and eventually it all crashes down. I have tried other spam filters (Bogofilter, CRM114 - using the same KMail wizard) and with the same duplicating result. Actually, to be precise, this email duplication doesn't occur *always* - often when I freshly start KMail, it works for some random period and then suddenly without any notable reason these problems start.

Is there anything I could to make it work OK, or it is a bug or whatever else?

Thank you very much in advance

Rompi

Offline IMAP

The only solution I could find is to use Offline IMAP type of account - works quite ok with spam filters and doesn't duplicate emails. However, I guess it's definitely not the best solution - Offline IMAP is not exactly the thing I would like to use forever...

No, I don't want that either...

It looks like the bug is known over years http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119149 :(

Well, we've found this one: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138846 - looks slightly more promissing...

I used SpamAssassin (and BogoFilter and couple of others as well), always with duplicating. It is quite unclear when that bug 138846 was marked as resolved, moreover it has been marked as a duplicate of another bug (which looks more generally), also marked as resolved, which then has been marked as duplicate of one more bug, but this one is in Unconfirmed status. Anyway, I don't know, where it has been resolved (if it really has), but my kmail duplicates with all filters which somehow modify mails themselves, should it be SpamAssassin or Bogofilter or any other.

I hope that the bug will be fixed pretty soon. Kmail is just great and I don't want to use another email client!
