Idea for panels, icons

The idea is to be able to load different icon schemes and complete panels with icons and everything on it, to the desktop. You can save a panel configuration or icon scheme and load it when you need it.

The possibility to load a set of programs with a single mouse click might also be fun. When you want to do a certain task, you just click on an icon and the required programs will run.

A nice feature of Apple OSX Tiger for handling window's, is Expose. Though I would put the controls of Expose on the desktop panel and not do it like Apple does. Expose operates with the F keys on the keyboard.

Here is the Expose link:

By the way, there is an Exposé like app in KDE called Komposé. It's not as fancy as Exposé, but the functionality and basic features are there.

RE: Idea for panels, icons

Thanks for sharing this topic! I am fond of pictures, I always convert pictures to formats that I want. So I know some software that can help you to convert your pictures to the formats you want, such as,Easy Icon Maker, Help you edit transparent or opaque icon and extract an icon from an EXE or DLL file.
You can have a try in http://www.qweas.com/download/graphics/i…_icon_maker.htm
Enjoy yourself!

Re: Easy Icon Maker

Perhaps I have not been clear enough.
The idea is not to have just a program, to design panels. The idea is to be able to switch to another usable panel, replacing the active KDE panel with another KDE panel, quickly.
The idea is about a program that can save and load panels. Instead of configuring another clock, menus, applet, special button and so forth, the user just loads a pre-configured panel with a single mouse click, replacing the current running panel.

As for the different icon schemes, it is basically the same idea. Not a design program for icons, but saveable icon schemes, that can replace all the current icons on the desktop wallpaper, with one click.

I think "loadable KDE panels" are a nicer idea then "loadable desktop wallpaper icon schemes". I think much more people would find it handy to get another running panel with a single click, then different icons on their wallpaper with a single click.
