Tray icons not staying hidden?

Why do the tray icons never stay hidden. Can I suggest a future memory for these icon states?

i don't know what you mean: when do the systray icons get hidden?

you can set the tray icons to be hidden in the pulldown menu under configure system tray.

mouse over the tray icon area and click the down arrow, it should be small.
