KDevelop/Kate Word Wrap Markers

I'm having a large issue with the word wrap marker on KDevelop.
Now I'm talking about the 'grid' that appears in the indentation spot, not the little arrows underneath the numbers.
I desperately want to remove these, as they are very ugly, and very annoying, but I would very much like to keep my word wrapping going on.
Any suggestions? The best I have gotten is to turn them white, which doesn't look good with tab lines or the selected line..

[EDIT]
I got it configured the best that I could, but had to turn off my tab lines and current line colours to get it so that it "appears" that the crosshatch grid doesn't show up.
If anyone knows how to remove the grid I'm still looking.

RE: KDevelop/Kate Word Wrap Markers

Agreed. Those crosshatches are unnecessary and annoying. Why we need visible characters to represent the absence of visible characters I'll never understand. It's just clutter and users need to be able to turn it off.
