IMAP and spam filter in KMail

Hi, could anyone help me please with running a spam filter in KMail? I have successfully managed to make it work, but only when downloading e-mails from POP3. However, I would like it to check the e-mails mainly in IMAP account, just like e.g. Thunderbird does. It seems actually no message filtering works with IMAP, not only spam filtering. I understand it is not a straightforward thing because IMAP downloads messages only when reading them and it's quite late then for spam filtering. But I was thinking maybe the kind of an off-line IMAP mode would work, but still no spam filtering occurs. Do I do somethinh wrong?

Thanks a lot
Rompi

RE: IMAP and spam filter in KMail

Which KDE and KMail are you running. There were some improvements regarding IMAP and filters in KDE 3.5+ .
