KMix Capture Bug?

Hello everybody.

It's my first post here and I'm a Linux newbie, so please forgive any stupid thing I may say below :)

I had the strange problem that all the levels in KMix were restored between sessions/reboots but the Capture Input. I fixed this (thanks to a hint I got in Usenet) by setting the Capture Level using alsamixer. The strange thing is that KMix does not honor the setting in alsamixer, with the misleading result that I've got Capture to Max in alsamixer and Capture to 0 in Kmix.

Has anyone an idea why the Capture is not synchronized between alsamixer and Kmix while all the remaining volumes are??

Thanks in advance.
Kickaha

PS: I use KDE 3.5.4 under Fedora5

RE: KMix Capture Bug?

Ok, I just opened an account on bugs.kde.org and found an interesting :D bug report I post here in case somebody read this thread and was wondering about its "evolution":
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125772

Apparently there is no quick fix for it because of lack of documentation in alsamixer; using OSS can fix this or simply ignore KMix Capture setting once the correct value is set in alsamixer as I suggested.
