"Which font" feedback ?

I am perhaps dimwitted, but I never have a clue which font (General, Fixed Width, etc) applies to any given object displayed on the screen, or in an application.

Is there any way currently in KDE to interrogate a window to find out which font it is using ? This would then save me from having to randomly change them till I find the one which is appropriate.

If this doesn't exist, how tricky would it be to add it ? I'm thinking of some right-click menu item like "window font", which would report the required info i.e. which font it is using, and its current setting.
