kmplayer in konqueror

I have both kaffeine and kmplayer.
I use kaffeine for playing dvd's but I want konquror to use kmplayer (and mplayer) for internet vidostreams.
My problem is that konqeror always uses kaffeine for videostreams and that it doesn't work. The viewer stops and konqueror hangs..
How do I force konquror to use kmplayer with mplayer?
I have set all video file types in fileassociations to 'show file in embedded viewer' and kmplayer as first priority.

RE: kmplayer in konqueror

Are you using a recent KMPlayer? It's not uncommon that some movies refuse to play in KMPlayer. Could you give an example movie?

I have compiled and installed kmplayer from kmplayer-0.9.2a.tar.bz2 which I downloded from the homepage of kmplayer.
The videos I want to se are on www.jp.dk which is a danish newspaper. In the right side you find links to videos. They are marked with a video camera and the text 'Se video'

OK, the videos are fine. So that is not the problem (although now I see I misread your question).

I cannot think of a proper solution except for (re)moving the xine_part.desktop and gstreamer_part.desktop files out of their directory (use locate).

Neither xine_part.desktop nor gstreamer_part.desktop exists on my system (Suse 10.1)
The videos play in Firefox both when using mplayerplug-in and kaffeineplugin.
But Konqueror can't use theese plugins. That's why I installed KMplayer, but it looks like Konqueror isn't aware of the existence of KMplayer and only uses Kaffeine.
I am looking for a method to configure Konqueror to use KMplayer and not Kaffeine for playing theese videos.

RE: kmplayer in konqueror

The problem is solved.
In fileassociations: Set application->x-mplayer2 to use KMplayer
