lost menu bar entries after broken update (opensuse 10.0)

did an update today, that was broken due to missing disk resources :-(

Didn't escape all of the patches, but answered 'skip' a few times, smaller patches are done now. After cleaning the disk and restarting the system, there is a different dektop now:
- desktop icons, background image, grey menu bar region exists, is ok
- menu bar has only one icon (console)

Restarted the update and finished it successfully. Restart system didn't change anything.

How to get back the kmenu entries?

thx for help
