Desktop icons broken

My desktop Icons no longer work, They all give an error of bad location and then open up my home file folder with natulis. All application icons work fine this only happens with the desktop ones ( my computer, trash, network, etc.)
Seems like just a configuration is messed up but I dont know where.
SUSE 10.0 64 bit
KDE desk top of course.
Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

RE: Desktop icons broken

That's because these icons point to so-called KIO slaves (system:/ , trash:/ , media:/ and so on). Only KDE application can handle these kind of locations, Nautilus is not a KDE app, so that won't work.

Yes I kinda figured that part out, how do I set it to kde? I do not want natulis to open anything I prefer Konquer for file browsing however if I attempt to open the icon with Konquer I get an error as well.

Hmm, that's strange it doesn't use Konqueror for that.

You could grep ~/.kde/share/mimelnk for nautilus and see if there are any references there.

Yes they did use kde, I was lookin around (learning), and apparently reset something. I figure the link is pointing to natulis instead of KDE I just dont know were to look for it. I will check the file you pointed to and see if that is were it is. Thank you for your help I have only been using SUSE since Dec. and am still a newb.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction or at least helping me figure how they work :)
Problem was simple, in Konqueror-settings-file assoc's , preferred application for directories had been changed to .........yup Nautlis, set it to Konqueror as preferred and problem solved.
