kdm login problem

I have problem to put my new kde 3.5.3 into list in kdm. There was already KDE in that list but it points to old kde (/usr/bin/startkde), and I want to pont to ~/kde3.5.3/bin/startkde.
I cant find out how to set that

RE: kdm login problem

Do you still have the old KDM installed? If that's the case, then uninstall the old version. If that does not help, try editing the file kde.desktop in `kde-config --prefix`/share/apps/kdm/sessions . You need the Exec and TryExec lines.
