amaroK not writing to iPod database

Using amaroK 1.4 beta 2 on FC5 (yes i realize this is beta software and i shouldn't be seeking support for it). When i transfer music to my 4gig iPod Nano, it simply sticks the file on the device. Doesn't put music in the 'music' folder, nor does it write the info to the iPod database, which renders the file useless for all practical purposes. I did not want to file a bug just yet because I'm not convinced that it's not a user error. Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas/comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: amaroK not writing to iPod database

The whole idea behind a beta is that you notify the *developers* with errors, so it's not wrong to post the problem at http://bugs.kde.org . That way it might be solved in the final 1.4.
