X11 Libraries

I tried to install Plugger 5.13 to try to get my web plugins to work. It stated abd then stalled and said
---
checking for connect... yes
checking for remove... yes
checking for shmat... yes
checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes
checking for atexit in -ldl... yes
configure: error: Unable to find X11 libraries
dick@dick:~/Documents/downloads/plugger-5.1.3
---
I looked in Package Manager (synpatic) and have many x11 programs installed there are still more to go. How do I know which ones I need?

RE: X11 Libraries

I did a search in synpatic and marked kde-devel to install. It then shows "remove kmymoney" I use kmymoney for all my financial information. How can I avoid this?

RE: X11 Libraries

Where does it tell you to uninstall kmymoney? In Synaptic or in the configure script?

RE: X11 Libraries

When I mark install on kde-devel in synpatic the window opens and says
To be removed
kmymoney
to be installed
kdebase-dev
libkonq4-dev
qt3-designer

I don't know why it asks you to remove kmymoney. IMHO, that's a bug that should be filed with your distribution.

RE: X11 Libraries

I let it remove Kmymoney after protecting my data. I did the "kde-devel" install and tried to install "Plugger" again and get the same result. While runing the script it checks for X11 and finds "X11 RS" something like that. I should have writen it down. Then it still says cannot find X11 Libraries and ends the Install.
