USB Hotplug???

Hi everyone,

Has been a few days I'm trying to sort this out but I couldn't find the way!
When I plug a flash drive or even my MP3 player, they are automatically mounted in "/media" but they don't appear on the desktop with the other icons neither on the storage media panel (in KDE) where they should pop as "mounted removable medium".
When I insert a USB flash drive I even get that message: " new USB stick detected" and then it ask me if I want to open it or ignore it! but whatever I do, I'll never see the bloody icon anywhere, so whenever I need it again, I'll have to dig it in the folders!
I just recently re-installed everything and on the first login the icons are there, everything working beautifully as they should, but as soon I reboot the machine, I don't have that feature anymore.
I would love to have the icon ready to use once I plug them in; the way it is now, I have to open Konqueror and browse the folders to get to "/media/flash drive" or "/media/mp3player"...
How an I do that?
By the way, I'm using SUSE 10.0, kernel 2.6.13 and KDE 3.5; also have just 2 weeks using Linux, so please be gentle! hehehe
Thanks
