KNewsticker transparent

Does anybody know if you can make the background of KNewsticker transparent like you can do with Kicker?

I've got KNewsticker running in its own controlbar and would like the background to be transparent, but I don't know, how to do that.
OpenSuSE 10.0
KDE 3.5.1
Kernel 2.6.13-15.7-default
