configure: error: /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf (imake) failed.

Hi,
firstly i would like to sorry for my English :-)

I'm trying to compile stable KDE 3.5 relase. I have some problems with kdebase. I'm using less popular Slackware-like distro and on ./configure I see:

Source code

1
2
3
4
5
checking for xmkmf... /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf
checking X paths... failed
configure: error: /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf (imake) failed.
Make sure you have all necessary X development packages installed.
On some systems a missing /lib/cpp symlink is at fault.

I checked all of those files and directories - IMHO all of those are present. Next I checked google. Almost everywhere I've seen "install xorg-devel". Ok, I have it installed. Lesstif I'we installed too. But ./configure doesn't want to go forward. Thanks in advance for help.
