[Kopete] Dynamic status message

hi @all.

I'm new here so I hope my topic is not already discussed all the time. My problem looks like that:
For some weeks I'm a proudfull owner of a notebook with wireless. As a student at university I'm also online in different locations.

Now I want my contacts to be able to know if I'm at home or at university at the moment. So my thought was to have a script that checks the SSID of the wireless lan i'm logged, compare that with a list with SSIDs/locations and give that location to kopete which should insert this automatically into status message. As I have to relogin when changing networks it would be enough to check that once at login. My thought was to let a script do the stuff and just give kopete an environment variable. Kopete should just insert this per default in the status message by putting something like "Location: $location; Status: " in front of the status message. I know that the "listening to" plugin does something similar. Is there an unspecific plugin I could use for that? Or even a more simple "already implemented" method? Thanks for any hints!
