Kopete MSN VOIP & Webcam

Will Kopete for KDE 3.5 support both MSN Webcam and VOIP so users can converse with MSN Messenger 7.5/8.0 users? Releasing Kopete with MSN Webcam support but still lacking VOIP is sort of meaningless and will confuse Windows users who initiate webcam chat believing the Kopete user has the ability to chat with voice too.

RE: Kopete MSN VOIP & Webcam

It's about the only thing windows can and linux can't.

Is there any development going on the audio support of webcams, if so, how far is it for audio to be added to it?

AFAIK audio is still experimental at best in Jabber and thats an open-source chat protocol and requires the user to conpile the source with the support for it, so i doubt MSN will have audio anytime soon.

Also the development team are focused towards getting Kopete to work on KDE4 more then anything else, im gathering because they want to release a stable Kopete release when KDE4 becomes stable
