[Kopete] Cannot login to msn or irc

I am using ver 0.10.3 & when I try to login to my msn it brings out the following message:
"There was an error while connecting to the MSN server.
Error message:
operation is not supported"

The same goes for irc as well & does Kopete support sending files for irc?

Can anyone help me?
