[kopete] No exit on esc

Hi,

Is there a reason for not following the default message window closing behavior to close poped up windows just with the esc key? It's possible with all IM applications on all OSes to use esc to close the message window.

I found a bug for kopete about it which was immediatelly closed because it's possible to configure the ESC key to be the closing key for the message window. That's not really true because esc then closes all opened tabs inside this message window what make this behavior not usable.

What's the reason for the non standard compliant behavior?

In the first additional comment of that wish (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65176) Stefan Gehn suggest that if you have questions to email the kopete-devel mailing list. They would most likely have an educated answer for you.

Kind of off topic, but are you certain there's a standard stating that instant message applications must close pop-up windows with the escape key? It might be common practice, and it probably makes a ton of sense, but I wasn't aware of any such standard. (Then again I'm not aware of a lot of stuff :) )

Cheers.
