Mouse and konqueror settings

There are 2 mouse problems that I'm having:
*Back and forward buttons on my mouse aren't working. They work perfectly with both firefox and opera. Shortcuts will not let me set the shortcuts to be mouse clicks.
*Autoscroll using the middle mouse button is slow.

Can you set the mouse buttons using khotkeys?
