It sounds like you're asking three questions.

1. How do I use Konsole?
2. How do I use the shell?
3. How do I install and configure programs on linux?

If I have misunderstood, I apologize.

1. To learn about Konsole you should begin with the documentation for Konsole written by the KDE Doc writers...

http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdeba…sole/index.html

Check out the Konsole homepage

http://konsole.kde.org/

2. This depends on what shell you are using (I'm going to assume bash). This looks like a good place to begin...

http://linux.org.mt/article/terminal

3. Information on how to install/configure is usually included with the program that you want. Usually in a README file. In terms of installation most likely the hard work has been done for you already. You should educate yourself in your distributions package management system (e.g. apt, rpm, etc.) A description of how to configure a program is usually available from that projects website or on the man/info page.
