Navigation Panel in Konquerer doesn't show hidden folders

Even though I have Show Hidden Files turned on and can see them in the file list, the navigation panel refuses to show them. Why is that? Is there any way to force it to do as its told? ;) Furthermore, if you browse through subfolders in the file list, the navigation panel doesn't update toreflect your current location in the filesystem. That renders it pretty wel useless when compared to Windows Explorer's folder pane. Is there a workaround for this or is anyone attempting to fix it?
