"The KDE Window Manager" displayed at top left corner... HELP

go easy on my guys/gals, i should come with a warning label (that's how new i am). after messin around with everything and anything just to get to know linux and kde better, apparently i've clicked on something that i shouldn't have... i've included a picture of the anomaly: it's a message window in the top left of the screen. it pops up any time i start a program, switch between programs, move a window, etc. any guidance would be much appreciated.

Looks like you activated passive popups for windowmanager notifications.

Have a look in control center->multimedia->system notifications, switch to KDE-window manager
