Multiple KDE Menu Items

I have KDE 3.4 on Mandriva LE2005 and have duplicate items in my menu. For example, two Konqueror and two Mozilla listings under Internet - Web Browsers.

If an app has been removed, then only one heading exists (Klamav in System - File Tools) as a remnant.

Is there a way to reset the menu, or to edit the file with these duplicate entries? I have upgraded several times from previous versions, so this may be a carryover from those upgrades.
